WOLF HOWL HARMONY Turns Anime Friends 2026 Into A Homecoming Celebration As Brazil Welcomes The Group With Open Arms

For most artists, performing in a new country represents the beginning of building a connection with a new audience. For WOLF HOWL HARMONY, their first performance in Brazil carried a much deeper meaning. For member GHEE, the stage at Anime Friends 2026 was not simply an overseas debut, but a long-awaited return to a place that was once part of his own story.

Since their debut on August 23, 2023, WOLF HOWL HARMONY has continued establishing themselves as one of Japan's emerging global acts, combining exceptional vocal ability, rap skills, and performance power. Beyond Japan, the group has actively expanded their presence in Thailand and internationally, including winning the Best Boy Group award at the 2025 ASIA TOP AWARDS. Their Anime Friends 2026 appearance represented more than another overseas performance. It was a celebration of connection, heritage, and the power of music to bring people together. For GHEE, it was a return home.

After spending part of his childhood in São Paulo, GHEE returned years later as an artist, standing in front of thousands of fans who had followed his journey online but had never had the opportunity to see him perform in person. Taking place on July 2 and July 5 at Anime Friends 2026 in São Paulo, WOLF HOWL HARMONY's Brazil debut became a memorable milestone for both the group and the local fan community, bringing together music, culture, and a personal connection that had been years in the making.

Comprised of members GHEE, HIROTO, RYOJI, and SUZUKI, WOLF HOWL HARMONY is a four-member vocal and rap group under LDH JAPAN known for their powerful performances, emotional vocals, and ability to blend different musical influences. GHEE and HIROTO were finalists of "iCON Z – Dreams For Children," LDH's largest audition project with 48,000 participants, while RYOJI and SUZUKI joined through the second chapter of the audition and are also active as members of vocal group DEEP SQUAD. Since their debut, the group has continued expanding internationally, surpassing 65 million total streams across their releases while building a growing global fanbase.

For GHEE, returning to São Paulo represented a chance to reconnect with a community that had supported him from afar and celebrate the personal history that connected him to the country. "Coming back to Brazil and standing on that stage meant more to me than I can really explain," GHEE shared. "I got to reconnect with the local LOVERED community in person for the first time, and it felt like paying something back to my family here."

That emotional connection was felt from the very beginning of the performance. Opening their set with "BAKUON -爆音-" and "Gachi Funk," WOLF HOWL HARMONY immediately brought energy to the stage with songs influenced by Brazilian funk, creating a bridge between their own musical identity and the culture surrounding them. The group also greeted the audience in Portuguese, creating a more personal atmosphere while speaking with fans about their shared love for anime and Japanese entertainment.

For HIROTO, who grew up watching Brazilian football, the opportunity to finally experience the country firsthand made a long-held admiration feel even more meaningful. "Being here in person, feeling how warmly people welcomed us, made that admiration real," HIROTO shared. "This is a connection I want to keep building outward."

Throughout the set, WOLF HOWL HARMONY continued finding ways to connect directly with the crowd. During acapella moments featuring beloved anime songs from Dragon Ball and Naruto, the audience immediately joined in, transforming the performance into a massive singalong. These moments reflected the unique relationship between Japanese artists and international fans, where music and shared cultural experiences can create a connection even across language barriers.

One of the most emotional moments of the performance came with "PLEASE," a track that reflects the group's own journey through uncertainty, perseverance, and the support they have found in one another. Beginning with a four-part acapella arrangement, the song created a powerful live moment as the audience fell nearly silent before erupting into support for the group. For SUZUKI, the response represented exactly why music has the ability to connect people across borders. "People who'd never heard our music before were moving to it immediately, and that's when I really understood what people mean when they say music has no borders," he said.

The group also continued celebrating Brazilian culture throughout their performance by incorporating dance styles currently popular in the country. Rather than simply presenting their music to the audience, WOLF HOWL HARMONY embraced the local culture and found ways to create a shared experience, making the performance feel like a conversation between artist and fan rather than a one-sided showcase. Their latest single "ココニイル Kokoniiru," the ending theme for anime Iwamoto-senpai no Suisen, became another highlight of the night. Although performed entirely in Japanese, the song was met with fans singing along to every word, proving that emotional connection does not require translation. The moment captured what makes global fandom communities so powerful: listeners can find meaning in music even when the language is unfamiliar.

RYOJI reflected on the support that existed even before the group arrived in Brazil. "I actually felt confident even before stepping on stage, because GHEE had been building a connection with fans in Brazil online, and we'd felt that connection too," he explained. "Once I was actually up there, the energy and love went far beyond what I imagined. A lot of people were discovering us for the first time, and I already know I want to come back."

The group closed their set with "LOVE RED," a special song for both WOLF HOWL HARMONY and their fans, as the group's fanbase takes its name from the track. Having performed the song since before their official debut, the encore created a full-circle moment that represented the journey the group has taken and the community they continue building around their music.
