Allow us to introduce you to PURPLE KISS, the K-Pop group who embarked on their first U.S. tour, since their debut in 2021.

Before kicking off their 17-city "2023 THE FESTA" Tour on Halloween (October 31, 2023) in Boston, MA, we had a chance to catch up with the group to learn about their emotions leading up to the tour, their experiences they hope to share with U.S. PLORY, and the excitement of touring in states that don't typically receive K-Pop acts. Check out our exclusive interview with PURPLE KISS below.

K FUSE: Hello, PURPLE KISS! We first want to say thank you for taking time to speak with us. Could you please take a moment to introduce yourselves to our readers. 

[Goeun]: Hello, I am Purple Kiss’s Na Goeun!

[Dosie]: Hello! I am DOSIE, the charismatic performer of Purple Kiss.

[Yuki]: Hey everybody, this is Yuki, and I am the rapper of Purple Kiss.

[Chaein]: Hi! If you CHAE-INn, you can’t CHAE-OUT. I am CHAEIN from Purple Kiss.

[Swan]: Hello, this is Swan, the youngest member in Purple Kiss.

K FUSE: Let's talk about your upcoming tour! You're set to go on your first U.S. tour, "2023 FESTA," since your debut in 2021. What emotions are you feeling as this tour approaches?

[Yuki]: We have all worked hard and thought a lot about what would our fans like the most, so we are really excited. Please look forward to our shows! A LOT!

K FUSE: What experiences are you hoping to share with U.S. PLORY?

[Ireh]: We want to share every single day of the concert with you. I want to capture the moment I spent with the fans in photos and keep them as cherished memories for a long time.

K FUSE: Some states you're touring in don't typically get K-Pop acts – such as Tennessee, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Arizona. How does it feel knowing that there is a lot of excitement around PURPLE KISS coming to these areas?

[Swan]: I’m delighted that we are going to meet our PLORYS, and I’d like to go anywhere if it's a place where PLORYS are.

K FUSE: One city you're touring in is Nashville, Tennessee, which is known as Music City for its inclusiveness of all genres of music. How does it feel to be amongst the first K-Pop acts to be performing here? What are some of your favorite genres to listen to?

[Chaein]: I’m really happy to perform in the States, and I want to deliver a great stage to our fans. I don’t like being limited to a certain genre and I enjoy a wide range of music styles. Since Nashville, Tennessee, is known as the city of country music, I’d like chill and walk around Nashville city while listening to country music. 

K FUSE: Are there any special stages, or fan engagements, that we can expect to see during this tour?

[Goeun]: Yes! We have not only prepared various songs that Purple Kiss have presented so far, but also newly prepared unit performances. We would be grateful if you look forward to it! Also, I'm excited that there will be various ways to meet PLORY even closer,, such as photo session with fans and fan signing events!

[Dosie]: This is the first time we’ve prepared unit stage and I hope our PLORYS will like it!

K FUSE: What choreography are you are most excited for / looking forward to doing during this tour?

[Chaein]: I’m curious about how our fans would react to the song ‘My Heart Skip a Beat’, since the choreography for the song is quite intense and the song itself is very exciting.

K FUSE: What do you do to relax while on tour? (e.g., watch anime? Film tiktoks, etc.)

[Yuki]: I enjoy sleeping and chill in my daily life, so I would like to get a lot of sleep during the downtime on tour!

K FUSE: Is there anything you want to try (experience) while in the U.S.?

[Swan]: I would like to walk under the beautiful night view.

K FUSE: Is there a place you would like to visit while in the U.S.?

[Goeun]: I enjoy shopping and eating delicious food, so I’d like to visit places like Soho in New York City or unique restaurants in the States. I’d also like to visit art museums and Universal Studio if I have the time. If there are any great places, please recommend them to me, PLORY!

[Ireh]: I want try In-n-Out burgers!

K FUSE: Favorite thing about PLORY?

[Dosie]: The way they look at us with love in their eyes, and how they sing along to our songs is truly heartwarming and adorable. 🤍

K FUSE: You’ll be ending your tour during our Thanksgiving holiday– which is like Korea’s Chuseok, where people express what they are thankful for. What are some things that you are thankful for?

[Yuki]: We are really grateful to our fans. After all, without Plory, we wouldn’t be here.

[Dosie]: I want to express my sincere gratitude to the fans who have continued to love our music this year, and I also want to show my appreciation to the members and staff who have worked hard alongside us and created joyful memories.

K FUSE: Is there a message that you would like to leave for our readers, and PLORY?

[Chaein]: PLORY and all readers! I’m so excited to be able to meet all of you through this tour! We’ll make sure you leave with lots of happy memories. Thank you🖤
